FAME /'fa:me/ is a raw, fictionalized drama freely inspired by autobiographical events, revealing the dark underbelly of the fashion industry through the lives of two women:
Sofia, a rising scout, and Anna K, a fading young model.
As Sofia climbs the ranks, she becomes complicit in a system that starves, objectifies, and discards women.
Anna K, no longer fitting the industry’s rigid standards, is pushed to the margins.
Their intertwined journeys expose a brutal cycle of body shaming, eating disorders, and psychological abuse
laying bare how the commodification of women’s bodies devastates lives, both on and off the runway.

Director's Notes

FAME /'fa:me/ FAME /'fa:me/ is a feature film freely inspired by autobiographical events, as I worked as a model scout for three years in Milan.
The title reflects a dual meaning at the heart of the project: “fame” in English, and /'fa:me/ — the phonetic transcription of the Italian word for hunger.
This tension between the pursuit of visibility and the experience of deprivation—physical, emotional, and psychological—forms the core of the narrative.
The film is rooted in a personal awareness of the role I played, however unconsciously,
in influencing how young women saw and accepted their bodies, and in reinforcing a system that shapes the image of women in society.
